Nickel Silver construction, lacquer finish. Includes hard shell case. The horn has had the dents removed and it has been re-lacquered, so looks very good and was not buffed to death. There are a couple small dents and scratches. The valves were not rebuilt and compression is not great. The purchaser will most likely want to have the rotors rebuilt – hence the price. Professionally serviced very recently in prep for sale.
The Conn 8D was the go to workhorse for years in major orchestras and commercial recordings. The model has a big sound and offers good control and intonation. This horn was made in 1970 and has tapered rotors.
